We constantly consider the data security implications and make sure they meet our own high standard.
As you may be aware, new regulations are now being introduced which will result in some changes, not just to the application, but in the information that we provide about how we handle the personal data that is held on our systems. GDPR is the new regulation that is replacing the Data Protection Act, and comes into force on the 25th May 2018.
These regulations aim to standardise the data protection laws across EU member countries. Here are some of the more pertinent differences to the UK’s current data protection regulation (DPA):
GDPR increases the information that must be disclosed to subjects about their personal data and rights.
The new EU data protection rules mean that after 25th May 2018 we can only send you information, updates and newsletters if you have given us permission, whether you live within or outside of the European Union.
